ITV America is behind some of the biggest brands on American television and is the largest independent non-scripted producer in the US. For over 20 years, XL Group has maintained its United States headquarters in Stamford with a focus on reinsurance. Their Americas reinsurance subsidiary ‘XL America’ is also located at a separate office in the city, contributing to Stamford’s large reinsurance sector. In 2015, XL Group merged with Catlin Group and in 2018 merged with AXA, creating AXA XL, the #1 property & casualty insurance provider in the world. In 2021, AXA XL signed a lease to move their offices to 677 Washington Boulevard in Downtown Stamford. With over 400 employees in Stamford, AXA XL is one of the city’s largest employers.
